Saturday Morning...

It is Saturday morning at our house. This is what it looks like... (you will need to draw a picture in your mind, as none of us have showered and we are not an attractive bunch and I fear for my camera)
  • Emma sits at the table writing the outline to the essay that she has to have done on Monday so she can get into honors English at the local public high school. She will need this if she does not get into Regis, the private high school she has applied to and has an interview for on Thursday. She is not happy. Procrastination never pays...
  • Abby is upstairs straightening up her room again. She has eaten breakfast, is probably getting dressed and ready for her day. She is cheerful this morning, but wishes we were not being such slugs.
  • Chris is on his computer. He has been out of town all week, from Tampa, FL to Reno, NV. He is tired, has a cold, and his shoulder hurts. It is hell to get old. He is also assisting Emma with her writing, much to her chagrin. (who needs an outline anyways?)
  • I have the laundry going, I have not showered, I have a cup of coffee, I have a cold, I am tired. (again, it is hell to get old) there are 1 million things I should be doing. I hear them calling my name. Good thing I am a mom and I am GREAT at tuning out little voices when needed.
I hope you have a great weekend!!
